Job description
The ideal team player will be responsible for selling soybean meal, oil, and hulls to a diverse customer base, including the commercial feed industry, traders, and home mixers. They will also manage hedge trading activities on platforms such as SAFEX, YIELDX, CBOT, and other OTC markets, while ensuring accurate administration and reporting.

Requirements

• A suitable B.Com or BSc degree.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in grain/oilseed/protein trading.
• Proven experience in commercial strategy formulation and execution.
  
• Strong understanding of derivative markets including SAFEX, CBOT, YIELDX, and OTC instruments.
• Familiarity with the South African and international oilseed markets.
• Knowledge of agricultural supply chains and commodity logistics.
• The role will require regular traveling to our processing plant in Villiers, customers over South Africa and industry gatherings from time to time.

• Formulate, develop, and implement the commercial trading strategy aligned with FSoil's business objectives.
• Drive and manage soymeal, soybean oil, soybean hulls, wheat bran and maize chop trading activities, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.
• Provide exceptional customer service, nurturing and developing customer relationships.
• Oversee effective contract execution and risk management.
• Trading of relevant hedge instruments on the JSE, CME, YieldX and OTC markets.
• Prepare accurate and insightful sales forecasts, analysing market trends and demand.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and production, to ensure seamless trading operations.
