The VKB Group is an agricultural company, providing support to farmers and producing straight-from-the farm-foods for consumers. Apart from the various consumer brands, the VKB Group is also represented by its regional brands: VKB, GWK and NTK. Job Description
The ideal candidate will complete their SAICA training contract within the Internal Audit department. Focusing on identifying control weaknesses and procedural risks across various operational areas in the VKB Group, they will be responsible for conducting independent and objective audits, including routine, ad hoc, and forensic audits.

Requirements

• Completed or currently completing a SAICA-accredited degree OR Completion or progress toward a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA) will serve as a recommendation
  
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel as required
  
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Good understanding of English & Afrikaans
  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Document system descriptions and process workflows
• Identify and assess controls within various processes
• Focus on risk identification during audits
• Plan and execute specified routine audits
• Conduct routine and ad hoc audits in accordance with the audit approach
• Compile and distribute audit reports within established deadlines
• Provide recommendations to improve audit programs
• Rotate through different departments within the VKB group to gain competencies required for SAICA accreditation
