Introduction to VKB Trading (Mauritius)

VKB Trading is a Global Business Licence (GBL) registered company, incorporated in Mauritius in June 2024, with its operations based at the modern Cascavelle Business Park on the West Coast of Mauritius. Our offices are conveniently located within walking distance of the Cascavelle Shopping Mall, offering an attractive and accessible working environment.

Job Description: Management Accountant (Mauritius)

We are seeking a young, driven, and analytical Management Accountant to join our VKB Trading team in Mauritius.

This role is ideally suited to a locally based Mauritian candidate who is ACCA qualified and has approximately 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within an offshore or international trading environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and operational support. In addition to core financial responsibilities, the role requires a hands-on approach, with a willingness to assist in day-to-day administrative and procurement-related activities when required.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) will be a significant advantage.

Requirements

• ACCA Qualified (essential)
• Approximately 3–5 years’ relevant experience at management accounting level
• Experience within an offshore, international trading, or cross-border environment (preferred)
• Strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Experienced in managing Foreign Exchange risk and trade finance solutions.
• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) (highly advantageous)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently within a small team structure
• Based in Mauritius (local candidates preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary to management
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
• Assist with cost tracking and margin analysis within trading activities
• Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Prepare and review journals and payment instructions
• Support statutory and regulatory compliance requirements
• Assist with audit processes (internal and external)
• Support procurement processes and related financial controls
• Provide administrative support where required within the trading structure
• Assist with ERP system management and reporting (D365)
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls
